Monthly, half hour webinars are open to all brokers in Rhode Island.

RUMFORD, R.I. (April 12, 2018) –   HealthSource RI for Employers is committed to keeping the broker community up to date. That’s why the state’s health insurance marketplace for small employers is offering a series of monthly broker webinars.

“Providing value to Rhode Island businesses is core to our mission at HealthSource RI for Employers,” said Zachary W. Sherman, Director of HealthSource RI. “Through our free webinar series, we aim to empower brokers by giving them the information they need to best serve the employer community.”

The webinars are open to all brokers offering Rhode Island insurance products, whether or not they are certified to sell coverage through HealthSource RI for Employers. To date, webinars have shared tips specific to Rhode Island brokers; a quick tutorial on the differences between HSAs, HRAs and FSAs, an overview of HealthSource RI for Employer’s Full Choice, defined contribution model and details about offering a comprehensive benefits package with HealthSource RI’s range of ancillary products.

HealthSource RI for Employers will leverage subject matter experts to bring Rhode Island brokers the best, most relevant educational experiences possible. In the next broker webinar, scheduled for April 19 at 11am, HealthSource RI for Employers will team up with Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island to discuss “HMOs, then and now.” Neighborhood will also be giving a $100 restaurant gift card to a randomly selected attendee.

Webinars will take place on the third Thursday of the month. Future topics include:
