HealthSource RI’s Open Enrollment period for 2025

We’re extending HealthSource RI’s Open Enrollment period for 2025 health coverage until February 28 due to the cybersecurity event impacting RIBridges, the state’s benefits and health coverage system, managed by Deloitte.

Our contact center (including live chat availability) has once again expanded its hours to serve customer needs, through January 31.
Hours are:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. through 8 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.
*note: on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the call center will close at 6 p.m.

You may be impacted differently based on what steps you had already taken toward getting covered for the year ahead when our system became unavailable. Please find the option that best describes your situation, and follow the guidance provided.

  • I received a notice I was being automatically renewed, or I have selected a plan for January, and I made a January payment.
You are all set for January. Please note that payment for February is due January 23. Learn more about how to make a payment while our online and mobile app methods are inaccessible.
  • I received a notice that I was automatically renewed, or I selected a plan by Thursday, December 12, but I have not made a payment for January (and I’m not enrolled in auto-payments).
Your 2024 coverage has ended. To get coverage for 2025, you may still need to pay your premium. Pay in person at any CVS (except those in Target locations) using your barcoded invoice, or pay by phone at 1-855-840-4774. You may also pay by check or money order at our walk-in center’s 24/7 drop box at 401 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.
  • I lost my advanced premium tax credits for 2025 and can’t pay my bill until I get them back.
Please contact us to update your application for 2025. Updating your consent information and your income information will allow HSRI to give you the right eligibility for 2025, including tax credits if you are eligible. We’ve kept your coverage in place so far, but you must act before January 29 to ensure that your January medical needs are covered.
  • I had coverage through HSRI in December 2024, but I received a notice saying I needed to select a plan to continue my coverage for the new year.
Please contact us to update your application, make your plan selection for 2025, and make a payment if needed. We’ve kept your coverage in place so far, but you must act before January 29 to ensure that your January medical needs are covered.
  • I was not covered in December and I have not yet selected a plan for 2025.
Don’t worry – contact us now to enroll in 2025 coverage. We’ve extended Open Enrollment through February 28. When you enroll, you can choose if you would like your coverage to be dated back to January 1, 2025.
  • I enrolled directly through Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island or Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. What do I need to do next?
Once our system becomes fully available again, you will need to re-enroll for March 1 through HealthSource RI to receive any federal financial assistance you may qualify for to bring down the cost of your coverage for the remainder of the year. Stay tuned for information from your insurer or HealthSource RI about what you’ll need to do. You can also check back on this site after February 1 for further instructions.
